The new EENCE Coordination Council has been elected. See who’s on board

The election of the new Coordination Council of the Network took place on 23 October. It was joined by representatives from Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Russia and Ukraine.

According to the decision of the General Meeting of the Network the day before, from this autumn the functions of the Coordinating Council will be performed by the Board of the created Eastern European Association for Civic Education.
Therefore, only those members of the Network who had already formally joined the Association took part in the vote.

There were 10 candidates for the seven positions on the Board of the Association.

As a result of the vote, the following persons were elected to the Board of the Association for a two-year term:

– Yuri Petrushenko (Ukraine), Chairman of the Board

– Vitaut Rudnik (Belarus), Deputy Chairman of the Board

– Helga Melnik (Belarus)

– Narine Teknejian (Armenia)

– Nato Gamtsemlidze (Georgia)

– Sofia Shakirova (Russia)

– Veronica Garbuz (Moldova).

The members of the Revision Commission of the Association were elected:

– Nazary Boyarsky (Ukraine)

– Vitaly Nikonovich (Belarus)

– Oksana Urban (Ukraine).

The first meeting of the new Board of the Association will be held on 25 October.

Two organizations from Azerbaijan joined the EENCE

The decision to join the Network was made in June by the members of the coordinating council.

The Network includes Associatio for the Protection of Women’s Rights of Azerbaijan after D.Aliyeva and Humanitarian Research Public Association.

Currently, EENCE has 39 Organizations and 13 Experts from 9 Countries (Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine, Russia, Germany, Great Britain).

Two new Projects will be implemented at the initiative of Members of the Network Council

Discussion of various options for the future development of the EENCE Network, including its possible transformation into an Association or other legal form, as well as optimization of internal and external Communication – are the main areas of Projects that the Council Members will actively work on until the end of this year.

As part of the first of the Projects, it is planned to assess the conditions for the possible registration of EENCE in legal form in several countries of the region.

Based on this analysis, a decision will be made on the most optimal format for the existence of the Network, which will ensure its stability.

In the framework of the second project, work is underway to improve the website and the distribution of the Network, to optimize work in Social Networks.
