The winners of the Eduthon were four teams that presented the most interesting ideas aimed at promoting citizenship education in their communities.

Muravschi Elena, Vacarciuc Daniela (Chisineu):

In the context of the integration process of the Republic of Moldova in the European Union, this project is a welcome one to be implemented in the Educational community of the high school. The project is designed to encourage students to become engaged and responsible citizens through a range of educational activities and initiatives.

Stepanyants Maria, Răilean Maia (Soroca):

The purpose of this project is to increase the level of understanding that the young people of the Republic of Moldova have in consolidating the democratic/electoral culture, by forming their critical thinking, assuming inclusive and participatory democratic responsibilities in voting. As a result of the project, approximately 25 teachers and 250 young people from the 3 colleges and 4 high schools will be familiar with the conduct and importance of voting.

Mutavci Maria, Ian Wolf (Sângerei):

The project aims to develop critical thinking skills in young people, awareness of civil rights and responsibilities, as well as active involvement in the process of social change and the formation of democratic values.

Ciutac Eugenia, Cotruță Marcela (Chișineu): 

This project comes to convey to teenagers that the law is not meant to harm them, but only to show them the way considered normal and acceptable by the society in which they live. By knowing and respecting the laws, their lives will become better, they will make fewer mistakes, but never on the grounds that they do not know the law. And if, possibly, they find themselves in the situation of victims, let them know that there are state bodies they can trust and that will punish the guilty. They must know, understand that they are free only to the extent that they obey the law, because the law protects the righteous.

On the second day of Eduthon, they had the opportunity to benefit from the counselling support of a team of experts who actively shared their knowledge and recommendations throughout the day.

The Eduton finals will take place on 22 September. On this day, the final presentation of the projects will take place, which will determine the three winning teams.

Citizenship Education Eduthon in Chisinau: Day One

Ten teams, including teachers, NGOs and community activists, competed to win the event.

Over the next two days, together with a team of experts from Georgia, Ukraine and Moldova, they will refine their projects to make them more meaningful, attractive and sustainable.

The finals of the Eduthon will take place on 22 September. On that day, the winning teams will be selected and will receive resources to implement their projects in their communities.
