Certified educator for 6 months: The Association of Additional Education and Enlightenment invites you to the virtual School of Civic Education
During the training, the participants of the School will improve their professional competencies and develop their own educational programs. The finalists of the course will receive certificates, as well as expert support in the implementation of their activities.
Graduates of the course will know:
– what is civic education and its functions?;
– how to develop your own program for civic education;
– fundamentals of program management in the field of civic education (PR, ensuring accessibility, supporting the motivation of participants);
– how to evaluate the effectiveness of civic education programs;
– history of civil education programs in the country and the world (effectiveness and benefits);
– how to plan your educational programs based on a human rights-based approach;
– how to include various aspects of civic education in the content of other educational programs of their organizations/initiatives.
Course coaches:
Sergey Saley, Chairman of the Management Board of the Public Association “VIT”. He has 25 years of coaching experience (including with the UNDP, the Council of Europe, the OSCE, and the Raoul Wallenberg Institute). Author of methodological manuals on civil education, the basics of law and human rights. Certified trainer of the Council of Europe and Street Law.
Lana Rrudnik, journalist, director of the Center for Additional Adult Education “Studio of Useful Competencies”, one of the founders of the Grodno “Golden Age University”. Since 1997, he has been working as a coach and consultant with Belarusian, foreign and international organizations (including the International Organization for Migration, the Deutsche Welle Academy, DVV International, etc.). He is a certified coach, as well as a certified coach of the Curriculum Globale.
Vitaut Rudnik, Chairman of the Management Board of the NGO Center “Third Sector”, coordinator of the Coalition “For Decent Longevity”. He has more than twenty years of coaching experience (including with such organizations as the OSCE, the International Organization for Migration, the Deutsche Welle Academy, Counterpart Int., the Belarusian Association of Journalists, etc.). Certified coach of the Curriculum Globale.
Friends and volunteers of public organizations, as well as individual activists who plan to conduct training in the field of civic education are invited to participate.
To participate in the course, fill out the application form by April 29, inclusive.
The results of the selection of participants will be announced on May 10.
The online course will be conducted on the Mudl platform. The school consists of three training modules. Within each module, there will be evening online meetings in Zoom (1.5 hours each). During the training, mentoring support from experts will be available. The training will take approximately 3 hours per week.
School opening hours:
May 17-August 31: classes;
September 1-October 25: implementation of educational programs developed within the course;
October 29: graduation meeting.
Participants who develop and implement their own educational programs in civil education at the end of the course will receive certificates of successful completion of the course.
