Two more Eduthon winning projects started in Ukraine
How to use art therapy to help people who have experienced pain and loss and how to make elderly people more media literate – the winners of the Ukrainian Eduthon actively share their knowledge and help people in difficult life situations.
‘Learn to feel after pain’ – such a project is being implemented in Rivne.
The first art therapy classes have already taken place here. Secret desires, subconscious feelings and emotions are often easier to express in art than in words.
Art therapy is a type of psycho-correction and psychotherapy based on art and creativity.
Now the team, which was one of the winners of the Ukrainian Eduthon, is actively training people to overcome anxiety and fears, aggression and impulsiveness, mental tension and stress.
In the same region, on 30 September, a project for elderly people ‘You’re smart enough with a smartphone’ was launched.
The training is provided by the non-governmental organisation ‘Fedorivka Shoulder to Shoulder’.
This training programme aims to help older people become more confident in using modern technologies and to teach them how to use smartphones and useful applications more effectively.
EENCE-Eduthon is organised by the Eastern European Association for Civic Education with the support of the Federal Agency for Civic Education (bpb) with funds from the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In Ukraine, the Eduthon is coordinated by the Independent Media Trade Union of Ukraine.
