Promoting Democratic Citizenship through Human Rights and History Education
This project is implemented by representatives of two Working Groups of EENCE: “Promoting Human Rights Education” and “History and Civic Education”.
The Project started on April 29. During the online meeting, members of Working Groups from Belarus, Ukraine, Moldova and Armenia presented and discussed upcoming events.
The project aims to provide Teachers from the EENCE region with online tools aimed at solving pressing problems in teaching History and Human Rights in the context of Civic Education, taking into account local needs.
The Project participants plan to develop four online courses: “Introduction to Human Rights”, “Human Rights Based Approach in the Teaching of History and Socio-Humanitarian Disciplines”, “Citizenship Journalism and Video Blogging”, as well as “Politics and Practice of World War II Memory in the EENCE Region”.
Courses will be developed by August 2020 by four teams, which include Members of Working Groups.
Before that, representatives of each team will be trained to create online courses.

Network Working Group projects are supported by the Federal Agency for Citizenship Education (Bundeszentrale für politische Bildung) with funds from the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
