Open Call for Civil Society Organisations – Civil Match 2.0
The 2021 edition of Civil Match is now accepting applications to expand cooperation in Eastern Partnership Countries and Russia
After the great success in 2020, the Goethe-Institut Ukraine together with Digitizing.Space, Insha Osvita and the Eastern European Network for Citizenship Education are delighted to announce the launch of a new and exciting edition of Civil Match.
The event will create an intense environment to foster CSOs collaboration and help incubate ideas of effective international partnerships.
Civil Match is an immersive matchmaking online project aimed at boosting cooperation between CSOs and NGOs activists from 10 countries – Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, France, Georgia, Germany, Moldova, Poland, Russia and Ukraine.
The programme is divided in two different phases:
Civil Match (1-3 July 2021) A 2,5-days intense online networking event, in which participants can find partners and discuss cross-border impactful projects;
Civil Match Forum (22-26 September 2021) A 4 days event, where participants can get starting funds to realize their cross-border projects and engage in meaningful discussions with high-level speakers, stakeholders and other participants.
The 4 Cooperation Priorities for NGOs in 2021 are:
- Pluralism and Media
Projects that seek to strengthen freedom of expression, access to information and ensuring that journalists and media remain key drivers for democratic, sustainable and peaceful development. - Culture and Values
Projects that are dedicated to the values of civil society by promoting innovative ideas to support cultural interaction and exchange of ideas. - Education and Training
Projects that support education and develop new training opportunities based on principles such as inclusivity, accessibility and active learning. - Conflict Resolution
Projects that reinforce dialogue in original ways and organize activities to foster reconciliation and promote dialogue in areas affected by territorial conflicts.
All participants of Civil Match will strongly benefit from their participation by meeting trusted partners and building long-term partnerships with them.
Also, during the Civil Match Forum, the best participants’ proposals will get the chance to win one of the four 1000 Euro Cooperation
Prize (one for each priority area) and receive tips and information on how to apply for the Federal Foreign Office of Germany (FFO) Programme.
Moreover, participants will also benefit by meeting with many colleagues from 10 countries and discuss civil challenges, matching with the right partners for the international projects, learning about success stories of cross-border projects, building long-term international partnerships based on trust and friendship, learning the latest updates on grant applications on cross-border civil projects, increasing chances to take part in the Civil Match Forum and get information about the funding for cross-border impactful projects implementation from the German Federal Foreign Office.
Last year, Civil Match was a catalyst for new collaborations and project ideas: 1000+ people attended the event from 600+ civil society organizations and 238 project proposals were submitted.
This year we want to replicate that work on a larger scale, providing even more cooperation opportunities for Civil Society and boosting networking engagement.
Civil Match is a program funded by the Federal Foreign Office of Germany and initiated by Goethe-Institut Ukraine, and the German Federal Foreign Office with the partnership of Digitizing Space, Bundeszentrale für politische Bildung, Insha Osvita and the Eastern European Network for Citizenship Education.
To join the Civil Match and attend interactive networking and matchmaking sessions with civil-society actors from 10 countries, fill in the Application Form – Deadline: 29 June 2021.
