The winning projects of the national Eduthons events are being successfully implemented. On 29 September, the first meeting of our women’s project “The Touch That Saves” took place in Warsaw.

This date was not chosen by chance, as October is dedicated to breast cancer prevention around the world. Ten strong and tender women came together to remind us that your life is your responsibility, and no one will take care of you better than you.

This meeting is not just a conversation about diseases. It is a conversation about the life we can change if we act in time. Women talked about how important it is to take responsibility for your health, how to schedule a visit to the doctor, and what breast self-examination is.

The meeting was attended by women who have already gone through this difficult path of fighting the disease and are now leading active, fulfilling lives. Their example is hope. They remind us that cancer is not a sentence.

The EENCE-Eduthon-2024 is organised by the Eastern European Association for Citizenship Education with the support of the Federal Agency for Civic Education (bpb) at the expense of the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
