Expected results of the Program
The European Youth Parliament (EYP) is one of the largest European platforms for political debate, intercultural encounters, civic education and the exchange of ideas for young people in Europe active since 1987. The EYP has groups of young people active in 40 countries, including independent local youth organisations in EaP countries: AM, AZ, BY, GE, MD, UA.
The EYP Sessions organized locally and internationally by young people bring together youth from all over Europe to discuss current topics in a parliamentary setting. The basis of the educational programme is having an interactive learning-by-doing space for the exchange of ideas connected to current challenges of our time.
Participants acquire key competences useful for their personal life as well as their professional development, e.g. communication, teamwork, and improving their English. Young people can choose their interests and focus on as leadership, media and communications, organising events and project management, inclusion and intercultural dialogue.
Expected results of the Program
Thousands of young people are actively involved as volunteers all over Europe, making the European Youth Parliament (EYP) a genuinely youth-driven programme – run by young people, for young people. The mission of EYP is to inspire and empower young people to become open-minded, tolerant and active citizens. A welcoming environment and our experience-based learning methodology offer participants a safe space to develop skills for life, express their opinions, and build intercultural understanding. Having fun, making friends and becoming more confident is also a valuable part of EYP experience :)
